Apple has unveiled Final Cut Pro 11, packed with innovative features, alongside updates for Final Cut Pro on iPad, Final Cut Camera, and Logic Pro. Final Cut Pro 11 leverages Apple’s M-series chips to introduce groundbreaking tools such as Magnetic Mask and Transcribe to Captions, enabling efficient video editing with AI-powered precision. These tools streamline tasks like isolating subjects and generating accurate closed captions. Additionally, the new version supports spatial video editing, catering to Apple Vision Pro users by enabling immersive project previews and direct delivery of 3D video content.
Final Cut Pro for iPad 2.1 enhances the touch-first editing experience with features like Enhance Light and Color, expanded Live Drawing options, and advanced haptic feedback. Meanwhile, Final Cut Camera 1.1, designed for iPhone, now supports 4K120 fps recording and Log-encoded HEVC video, empowering filmmakers with professional-grade tools in a portable format. Logic Pro for Mac 11.1 and iPad 2.1 also see major updates, including the introduction of the Quantec Room Simulator, offering industry-leading reverb effects.
Brent Chiu-Watson, Apple’s senior director of Worldwide Product Marketing for Apps, emphasized how these updates, driven by Apple silicon and machine learning, provide creators with powerful, intuitive tools to realize their artistic vision efficiently.
