Interoperability is becoming name of the game in the increasingly criss-crossed enterprise world of Big Data and data silos, NoSQLs, NewSQLs and relational databases. Tamr, a Cambridge, Mass.-based data interoperability provider, has raised $26.2 million in Series B funding. One of Tamr founders is Michael Stonebraker, a man who played a prominent role in a number of database companies, including Ingres, Illustra, Cohera, StreamBase Systems, Vertica, VoltDB, Tamr and Paradigm4.
