NETGEAR, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTGR), a prominent provider of networking solutions for businesses of all sizes, has introduced the NETGEAR 10G/Multi-Gigabit Dual WAN Pro Router (PR60X) to its Insight platform, marking a significant addition to its array of networking products.

The PR60X Pro Router, a key element of NETGEAR’s networking solution suite, exhibits remarkable capabilities. With a potential bi-directional WAN-LAN throughput of up to 18Gbps, coupled with dual WAN failover interfaces, the PR60X reinforces NETGEAR’s position as a frontrunner in networking solutions for small and mid-sized businesses.

According to Iphie Chen, Senior Product Line Manager at NETGEAR, the PR60X Pro Router exemplifies a pioneering approach to business connectivity. Chen emphasizes the need for businesses to prepare for the forthcoming 10G broadband era and underscores the PR60X’s role in supporting high-speed broadband connections effectively.

The PR60X Pro Router offers several features that enhance its performance, security, and user-friendliness. Boasting 10G/Multi-Gigabit throughput, 10G/2.5G dual WAN ports, and 10G/2.5G/Multi-Gigabit LAN ports, the router is designed to accommodate current and future internet and device speeds. It guarantees uninterrupted connectivity through its dual WAN fail-over design, protecting critical applications and services.

In terms of security, the PR60X serves as a robust gateway, safeguarding against malicious incoming traffic. Its built-in firewall prevents unauthorized access while monitoring network communications with the external world.

Visually, the PR60X features a sleek rackmount design with rear ports for easy integration into existing data networking setups. It also provides reverse mounting rack ears for front-facing ports, offering a unified appearance. With its technical capabilities and expert support, the PR60X presents itself as an affordable, cloud-managed 10G routing solution for small businesses.

NETGEAR extends a 3-year warranty and 90 days of free phone and chat support for the PR60X, ensuring a hassle-free networking solution for businesses.

Technical specifications of the PR60X include:

Industry-leading WAN-LAN throughput of up to 18 Gbps facilitated by an ARM A73 Quad Core 2.2GHz CPU and dedicated hardware network engine.
High-performance hardware featuring 1×2.5G WAN, 1x10G configurable WAN/LAN ports, 3×2.5G LAN, and 1x10G SFP+ LAN ports.
Dual WAN ports for primary and secondary internet connections, ensuring reliability.
Support for up to 8 VLANs for enhanced network segmentation.
8 DHCP servers for improved security and manageability.
IPSec VPN, allowing up to 30 VPN tunnels for remote connections.

NETGEAR’s Insight 7.0 Remote Management and Support provides comprehensive network management, including the PR60X router, allowing for remote configuration and management around the clock. This is especially beneficial for small businesses without an onsite IT team.

The Insight platform encompasses Pro WiFi Access Points that support WiFi 6 and 6E, as well as Insight Managed Smart Switches, which range from 5 to 48 ports with various capabilities to suit diverse business needs.

The NETGEAR PR60X is available for $699.99 on NETGEAR’s official website in the US.
