VMware and NVIDIA Collaborate to Empower Enterprises with Generative AI Capabilities

VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW) and NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA) have announced an extended partnership aimed at preparing enterprises that rely on VMware’s cloud infrastructure for the emergence of generative AI technologies. The collaboration focuses on developing the VMware Private AI Foundation with NVIDIA, a comprehensive solution designed to enable businesses to harness the potential of generative AI applications, including intelligent chatbots, assistants, search, and summarization.

Key Highlights:

Generative AI Empowerment: The VMware Private AI Foundation with NVIDIA aims to provide enterprises with the tools to customize and operate generative AI models. By integrating NVIDIA’s accelerated computing with VMware Cloud Foundation, the platform seeks to deliver an all-inclusive solution optimized for AI applications.

Data Privacy and Security: Acknowledging the importance of data privacy, security, and control, the collaboration aims to empower enterprises to confidently deploy generative AI workloads adjacent to their data, while adhering to strict data privacy regulations and ensuring secure access.

Business Transformation: Enterprises across various sectors, including financial services, healthcare, and manufacturing, will benefit from the collaborative effort by gaining access to the software and computing capabilities required to leverage generative AI and build custom applications tailored to their unique datasets.

Full-Stack Computing: The platform’s focus on streamlining the development, testing, and deployment of generative AI applications aligns with the growing demand for accelerating business processes. It is estimated that generative AI could contribute significantly to the global economy, with potential annual additions of up to $4.4 trillion.

Integrated AI Tools: The VMware Private AI Foundation with NVIDIA is expected to feature integrated AI tools that enable enterprises to efficiently run models trained on private data. These tools will enable businesses to provide generative AI services to users, create private and secure models, and scale inference workloads cost-effectively.
