Brahma AI has raised $150 million in a round led by Multiples Alternate Asset Management, with Cantor Fitzgerald as placement agent. The company says it turned away another $100 million of investor interest.
Brahma is building an AI-native operating system for enterprise audiovisual content. It combines content intelligence (finding, tagging and managing large media libraries) with AI creation tools for visual effects, digital humans, voice and multilingual versions.
Built from VFX and media tech
The company draws on technology from DNEG, the Oscar-winning visual effects studio, Metaphysic, known for photoreal AI faces, and Prime Focus Technologies, which builds media asset management software. Founder and CEO Prabhu Narasimhan spun those technology stacks into an independent company built for the AI era. Co-founder and CTO Jo Plaete is a specialist in visual AI and digital humans. The visual AI work won a 2026 Technology & Engineering Emmy.
Brahma works across Los Angeles, London and Mumbai. Customers include Warner Bros, the NBA and Mayo Clinic, and Google, Hakuhodo and DNEG are distribution partners. It focuses on four markets: media and entertainment, sports, healthcare and advertising.
Every company is a content company
“Brahma AI is reimagining the content supply chain in the age of AI,” says Multiples founder Renuka Ramnath. “Every enterprise is becoming a content enterprise.”
The money goes into R&D, global expansion, a Silicon Valley presence and the launch of interactive digital humans. Brahma is also working on a model-agnostic platform with a focus on security and content provenance, which matters more and more when synthetic video gets hard to tell from the real thing.
