Energy Harvesting Solutions Took Major Awards at Embedded Technology 2017 / IoT Technology 2017

Embedded Technology 2017 / IoT Technology 2017, November 15 (Wednesday) – 17 (Fri) 2017 Pacifico Yokohama

The General Associated Engineering Association (JASA) today announced that “Embedded Technology 2017” to be held at Pacifico Yokohama for three days on November 15-17, 2017 at Pacifico Yokohama. The wiiners of “ET / IoT Technology Award 2017” will be announced at the event. This award recognizes excellent embedded technologies, products, solutions, and services that contribute to the development of the embedded industry and the competitiveness of the domestic industry. The following four outstanding awards and one special prize will be presented at the award ceremony:

Embedded Technology Excellence Award
NEC (Booth No. C-25)
Laser gas sensor for detection of various gases over a wide area, early detection of fire and reduction of false alarms realized. The winner demonstrated response speed faster than that of existing systems.

Deep Insight Corporation (Booth No. D-53)
Embedded Deep Learning Framework
Deep learning environment that implements the neural networks communicating with different devices such as microcomputer, GPU, and FPGA.

IoT Technology Excellence Award
Fujitsu Semiconductor, PHYCHIPS, Escape Electronics  (Booth No. A-38)
Batteryless Wireless Solution UHF band and RFID wireless energy harvesting solution for power supply as well as data transmission and reception.

Fujikura Co., Ltd. (Booth No. C-14)
920 MHz band wireless energy harvesting sensor system with low scattered light high efficiency photovoltaic generation and wide range sensing with multi-hop wireless communication.

Special Prize
National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology National for portable air-cooled thermoelectric generator that generates electricity by using various heat sources such as exhaust heat and burning fire. It uses thermoelectric module based on proprietary oxide material.
