NEC Qualifies 20 Fiber Pair Subsea Telecom Cable Systems, With Further Advances Soon: Innovations to push NEC subsea cables to 24 fiber pairs and beyond

NEC Corporation (TOKYO: 6701) and its subsidiary OCC Corporation announced today that they have completed full qualification of subsea repeaters and optical cable containing up to 20 fiber pairs (40 fibers).
