VentureIsrael, an early-stage Israeli deep tech fund, has appointed Evgenia Zaslavskaya as a venture partner. She’ll lead the fund’s international communications and help its portfolio companies with strategic communications.
VentureIsrael says it’s the third most active VC investor in Israel. It has more than 30 companies in its portfolio, over 50 investments and more than 10 exits. It invests in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, space technology, quantum and other deep tech.
Who she is
Zaslavskaya has more than 15 years of experience in PR. She founded and runs Zecomms, an international communications agency working with tech companies and investment funds in the US, UK, Europe and the Middle East and North Africa. In 2025 she won Best Leader in Public Relations and Communications at the Davos Communications Awards.
In the new role she’ll position the fund globally, build media relationships, raise the profile of its partners and shape the story around the fund and its companies.

Why a VC hires for story
Deep tech startups are hard to explain. A quantum sensing company or a space hardware startup has to win over investors, customers and future hires who may not understand the technology. For an Israeli fund whose companies mostly sell abroad, a clear international story is part of how they raise and sell. VentureIsrael is putting that job at the partner level.
