Advent Technologies, a leader in fuel cell and hydrogen technology, has received a new order from the German State of Brandenburg for its methanol-powered fuel cell systems, adding to their three-year agreement announced in September 2022. The fuel cell systems will serve as the backup power source for the state’s BOS digital radio network, replacing diesel-powered systems and providing a more sustainable and reliable power solution. The installations will take place throughout 2023 and the fuel cells were selected due to their reliability and environmentally friendly nature. Advent is based in Boston with offices worldwide and holds more than 150 patents for fuel cell technology.
