LevaData Announces 2018 Cognitive Sourcing Summit

August 7, 2018 By admin Leave a Comment

LevaData, the company that delivers applied AI to transform strategic sourcing and procurement, today announced that it will host the 2018 Cognitive Sourcing Summit in Santa Clara, CA, on September 13, 2018.

“Following a successful inaugural event in 2017, LevaData is excited to reconvene with industry leaders at the Cognitive Sourcing Summit this fall,” said LevaData founder and CEO Rajesh Kalidindi. “The summit is quickly becoming the premier event for strategic sourcing executives who drive thought leadership and practical adoption of cognitive and AI technologies.”

At last year’s Cognitive Sourcing Summit, LevaData unveiled Leva, the world’s first AI advisor for strategic sourcing. This year, LevaData has responded to increased interest by expanding the event to include 150 attendees while working to ensure the same intimacy and opportunities for networking that were a highlight of last year’s summit.

Speakers and panels will explore the overall theme of how to accelerate the journey towards cognitive sourcing, including the latest trends in digital transformation and the adoption of AI among procurement teams. Executive leaders from the high tech, industrial equipment, medical device, telecommunications, and consumer products industries will share their insights. Acknowledged industry analysts and thought leaders from IDC, Supply Chain Insights, Gartner, Chainlink Research, and Spend Matters will share relevant research and facilitate panel discussions.

Presentations and workshops will include:

Cognitive Sourcing: Maturity Model, Innovation and Competitive Advantage
Digital Procurement: Building a Successful Roadmap
Driving the Transformation: Making the Case and Enabling Change
Participants will also hear from Fitbit’s Kevin Purser and Mike Melzer of Rockwell Automation regarding their successful digital procurement journeys and recommended best practices.

The closing keynote presentation will be delivered by Procurious founder Tania Seary. In addition to establishing a community of 30,000 procurement professionals, Tania has been recognized as a “Procurement Futurist” by IBM and “Influencer of the Year” by Supply Chain Dive.

LevaData will also release the 2018 Cognitive Sourcing Study, which provides updated insights on market readiness to adopt new AI-based capabilities and priorities for procurement transformation across a range of industries.

“Data-driven procurement is crucial to efficiency, cost reduction and value creation,” said Mickey North Rizza, Program Vice President Enterprise Applications, IDC. “LevaData’s 2018 Cognitive Sourcing Summit will be an excellent opportunity for supply chain executives to learn from other industry leaders about the advancement of sourcing and procurement through cognitive computing and the best practices for making the transition to AI-enabled strategic sourcing.”

Executives interested in attending are encouraged to request an invitation by August 31st.
