Every year startup hub SUP46 inducts one Swedish startup profile to the Startup Hall of Fame. Last year, Sebastian Knutsson from King was inducted and joined the previous inductees Daniel Ek, Niklas Zennström and Jane Walerud. This year’s profile will be revealed at Swedish Startup Gala November 23 and has been selected by all former inductees together with representatives from SUP46. This year, SUP46 will expand the gala with several awards to honor entrepreneurs and investors in the Swedish startup community.
“What Swedish startups do is critical to the digital economy and job growth. Many of the jobs that will be created in the future will come from new digital- and tech focused companies. Therefore it is important to focus the spotlight on those who have made extraordinary efforts. During the gala, we will not only induct the next person into Swedish Startup Hall of Fame, but also draw attention to one investor and three startups that have stood out this year”, says Daniel Sonesson, CEO of SUP46.
Who can win at the Swedish Startup Gala
Besides revealing the Swedish startup profile of the year, four other awards will be handed out. The first three have been selected by a jury of investors while the fourth has been voted for by the startup community.
